'Hyperbolitis' is the name of a condition and is derived from
the English word 'hyperbole' which
means to exaggerate for effect.
A sufferer of hyperbolitis will often over exaggerate every day occurrences and will, for want
of a better phrase, "make a mountain out of a molehill."
It is a well known fact that
seekers suffer from
Principal Skinner: The things you don't know
would fill a whole library and leave room for a few pamphlets.
Superintendent Chalmers: There's no need for hyperbole, Seymour.
Principal Skinner: I'm sorry I suffer from hyperbolitis.
